Simpsons and Family Guy crossover details

May 13th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Although we reported on it last July (here) we’ll not lie, we kinda forgot about it… but never one to miss an opportunity to cash-in, fox are once again pushing the Family Guy/Simpsons crossover – The Simpsons guy (up all night thinking about that one, huh guys?)

Anyway, last night at FOX’s Upfront presentation, Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly talked about the epic crossover event and footage was shown to those attending. According to IGN: “Some new footage from the special was presented on the screens during the presentation, though Reilly was speaking over it, so we didn’t get the full effect of the scenes. However, a couple of standout moments were Stewie, looking a little unsure of himself, attempting to skate with Bart and, in a moment many will find of note, Homer and Peter getting into an all-out brawl. (pictured below) The two end up rolling around in the street, and the last thing we saw was Homer grabbing Peter around his neck and throttling him as only Homer can.”

The Simpsons Guy will air in September 2014.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
