So, The Arrowverse’s Superman also killed Zod? Yup, looks like he did

So, remember when Superman killed Zod in Man of Steel and it seemed to cause quite an uproar with fans believing that it wasn’t what Superman would do.

Although, fans on the other side argued that Superman has a history of killing Zod in the comics and in the original Richard Donner’s Superman II (we know there’s a deleted scene where Zod is alive but most fans don’t know that scene exists and it could be argued that Zod, on screen, is dead) – check out the images below for the many deaths of Zod.

And now it seems that even in The CW’s Arrowverse, Superman has once again killed Zod, albeit offscreen.

You may recall we’ve met Superman in the Supergirl series, played by Tyler Hoechlin, and to many comics fans he’s a proper Superman, being optimistic, happy powerful and, you know, smiley. However, last night’s Supergirl revealed that he has a dark side too and that in that universe Zod died at Superman’s hands too – Zod has appeared in Suergirl and was played by Marc Gibbon.

In this week’s episode Mon-El talks about the Legion of Super-Heroes fighting General Zod in the future which make Winn say: “Superman killed Zod.”

Huh… we love that, in all the DC universes some character share a fate and that fate for Zod, is not a good one.

What say you all?

Even in the comics Zod didn’t work out so well…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
