Stargirl joins DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 2

The ranks of the Justice Society of America continue to swell as producers of hit CW show DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has found its latest member in Stargirl.

News-site IGN have reported that Sarah Grey, who will be starring in the upcoming Power Rangers movie reboot, will star as the character in the show’s upcoming second season.

Stargirl, Courtney Whitmore, first debuted in 1999 and was created by newly appointed President of DC Comics Geoff Johns as a tribute to his late sister and has since become a beloved member of the DCU. She is the stepdaughter of Pat Dugan the original Star Spangled Kid, was bestowed and wields Jack Knight’s cosmic staff and wears the Cosmic Converter Belt, which offers her enhanced agility and strength among other abilities.

She will join alongside Hourman (played by Patrick J. Adams, who first appeared in Legends of Tomorrow’s season 1 finale), Matthew MacCaull who was last week cast as Commander Steel as well as Dr. Mid-Nite and Obsidian, both yet to be cast.

Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on October 13 and with the castings coming thick and fast as well as the tease below, we cannot wait!!
