Responding to the recent talk of him leaving ‘Arrow’ Steven Amell, who plays Oliver Queen/ Arrow in the tv series, has taken to Facebook rebut these rumours.

He said: “I keep reading that I’m leaving ‘Arrow’… I’m not. I have a contract that runs through 2019.  At least. Now… That doesn’t mean ‘Arrow’ will run that long, but if it does… I’ll be here.”

He also went on to address another rumour of him appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with which he replied: “I’m an actor… So if a role came up… I would always listen. Does that include Marvel characters? Of course it does. Have there been any offers, auditions, or even general meetings…? No.”

It seems the illustrious ‘Arrow’ is set to stay with us for a very long while. I would have no problems him being in a Marvel film – shock horror – he is a fun actor and if the role is right he could be brilliant in any film, regardless of who is making it. The good thing about the TV DC universe is its separation from the films. It can do things the film can’t, and its actors can go to places the film actors can’t.

Arrow season 4 will return on the Wednesday 20th January 2016. The Flash season 2 will return on Tuesday 19th January and Legends of Tomorrow will be premiering on the 21st January 2016.
