Get ready for the new daily show

Stephen Amell has pitched a return as Arrow

You know, a few weeks ago I’d have said there was no chance of Stephen Amell returning as Oliver Queen/Arrow in The Arrowverse.

However, after the recent cancellation of Supergirl (here) and Black Lightning (here), it seems to me that all bets are off.

Amell in a new interview revealed that he has pitched a return to showrunner Greg Berlanti… should it ever be needed.

With Arrow wrapping after nine seasons, Amell makes it clear he’s not looking to step back into the hood but, given the prominence of that damned virus, he offered to come back to help out.

“I said, ‘Look, I hope this doesn’t happen, but if everything goes to sh*t and you guys can’t get actors up here because of issues about mostly American actors crossing into Canada, and if things can’t be figured out, here’s the deal man,” the star says.

“I’m here and if I have to stay here, I want to work. If I’m going to work, let’s just figure out a way to bring Oliver back from the dead.’ I go, ‘Yeah, of course, I’m f**king serious. Again, I hope it doesn’t happen. But, can we at least put it on the radar.'”

There’s no question production on the shows has been tough because of the current global situation, so don’t rule out the return of the Hood at some point in the future.

I just wouldn’t bet on it.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
