Stephen Amell Suiting Up…For WWE?!?

Ok, allow me to put this in context.

Stephen Amell, who is the star of Arrow (in case you didn’t know that), is a HUGE fan of WWE. He tweets about it, talks about it, and has made it known that he would love to host Monday Night Raw for a night.

Well, on a recent Monday Night Raw, Amell was in the front row when a wrestler named Stardust (aka Cody Rhodes) got up in his face. These two had actually traded tweets in the past, so it was almost inevitable that they would meet up at least a little.

But…now rumors are flying (still rumors at the moment) and stating that not only will Amell return to WWE at some point, but he could also wrestle in a match…AS THE ARROW!!! As stated here:

“Steven is looking to get in the ring for the WWE and the match looks like it will take place at SummerSlam in NYC.” They add: “The WWE and Stephen are deciding if he should wrestle as himself or Arrow, in the next few weeks that will be answered but what can be answered now is that he will definitely have a match against WWE Superstar Stardust.”

Now before you flip your wig on how that doesn’t make sense, you have to understand that Stardust doesn’t think Stephen Amell is…well, Stephen Amell. He think he IS The Arrow, and thus it would be a true superhero vs. supervillain fight at SummerSlam.

Again, this is just rumors at the moment, but it would definitely be something Amell is up for I’m sure. And given the success and popularity of Arrow, WWE would be fools to not capitalize on it in some way.
