This week’s episode of Supergirl entitled ‘Solitude’ provided fans with a giant tease. In the episode, Kara visited Superman’s Fortress of Solitude and we got tons of little comic references and Easter eggs including the giant gold key used to open the fortress!
The biggest of these in terms of ‘future’ impact however came in the form of a ring display, that of a Legion Of Superheroes flight ring. We had previously seen this Easter egg teased in the Flash episode, ‘Welcome to Earth-2’ when the Flash crossed the Bleed and saw flashes of other Earths.
The Legion were a group of teenagers from the 30th Century who were inspired by Superboy/Superman’s heroic deeds in the past. The ring was seen as an induction ring given to members.
What does this mean for the future of the show? Will we see the Legion appear or Kara travel to the 30th century at some point???
