I’m not going to lie, the only thing surprising about this new bit of news is that it took so long to happen.
Yes, The CW fans, plans are officially afoot for a Superman & Lois series starring The Arrowverse’s couple of steel, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.
Fans may recall that at the end of last year’s Elseworlds crossover on The CW Superman and Lois left earth to have a child and retire from the stresses of superheroics, leaving Kara – Supergirl – as earth’s only Kryptonian defender.
However, the new series will see ‘the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist [as they] deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.’
So with Arrow finishing this season, The CW has more than replaced it with Batwoman now in its first season, Green Arrow and the Canaries just announced and now a Superman and Lois series. You have to hand it to them, they’re not afraid to push the shows.
Here’s what the Arrowverse stars had to say about the news:
I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to tell this story, that for now shall remain a secret. But I’ve been blessed with nothing less than the most wonderful people to do it alongside of. I couldn’t ask… https://t.co/InBZDETb2v
