Certain heroes or villains have stories connected to them that resound through the mediums. Whether it be comics, TV, movies, and beyond.

When it comes to The Flash, the element of time-travel is often brought up. Whether it be by him simply running through time (of which has done many times) or through the use of his time-travelling treadmill (yes, he does have that), the stories of Flash going back and forth through time are well chronicled.

When The Flash was announced for CW, the discussion about whether Barry would travel through time was brought up almost instantly…and answered just as quickly. Now though, the cast is freely opening up (no doubt because of the renewal of the show for Season 2) about what they expect to be doing with time travel in the show.

“We are diving deep into the time-travel element and it is going to be wild,” Grant Gustin, The Flash himself, says.

So The Flash is pumped…how about Reverse Flash?

“It’s ultimately why I signed on to this job. Not to play a scientist, but to play a time-traveling bandit,” says Tom Cavanagh, who plays Harrison Wells/The Reverse-Flash. “In comic books, when you start talking about time travel — if anybody has followed The Flash, then they know Reverse-Flash and The Flash are not just doing this right now in the present day. They have a long history and there’s nothing that we’re not going to pursue when we try to tell the story. We’re trying to tell all of it.”

That last line in particular excites me, and we know that sometimes this season we’re going to get our first taste of Flash time-travel. It’s up to the writers now to see how far they take it!
