Tom Ellis back for Lucifer season 6 after ‘protracted negotiations’

June 1st, 2020 by Marc Comments

It looks like Lucifer stars can rest easy as a sixth series is coming!

We reported a while back that Lucifer star Tom ellis has signed on for a sixth season (here), but after that ‘protracted negotiations’ had jeopardised this.

However, now you can all breathe easy as it seems it’s all been sorted out.

Ellis had apparently turned down Warner Bros Television’s offer for pay, despite having a deal already in place. This would have put him in breach of contract but it seems that before things got too hairy, things were resolved.

As of yet no official pickup has been made by Netflix and Season 5 has yet to air, but this all is expected to fall into place now.

Lucifer was originally canceled by FOX after three seasons and Netflix stepped in to give a fourth and final fifth season, but now it looks like six will be the show’s swan song with speculation being that this really will wrap the show.
