True Blood star Stephen Moyer will play the lead in FOX’s new X-Men series

February 28th, 2017 by Marc Comments

Just a few days ago we learned that Jamie Chung has signed on to the new X-Men TV series at FOX as Blink (here) and now it seems that True Blood star Stephen Moyer is set to take the series lead role.

So what do we know about who he’ll play? Well, according to Deadline: “Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Moyer will play the dad, Reed, an ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of his job at the DA’s office with his responsibilities to his family. He joins previously cast Blair Redford and Jamie Chung.”

It looks like FOX are taking this seriously and with Logan close to being released and talk of a new dawn of X-Men movies, it looks like the X-Men franchise is set to make a play for the the Comicbook throne on the big and small screen.

Mand, it’s a good time to be a fanboy or girl, isn’t it!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
