Going to have to keep the review short tonight, which is fine, cause honestly not a lot happened in “Option Two”. The jist of it was that the mysterious man Hal was meeting was actually a Maurader, who we knew of via the “future”, in which Fitz pretended to be one.
Anyway, with doom and gloom coming, the bunker shut itself down, and everyone was trapped, all the while dealing with some personal drama. After Yo-Yo killed Ruby last week (power outrage prevented my review, sorry about that), not everyone was happy with the outcome. This included Daisy and Mac. This led to some rare in-fighting that even the new recruits realized was odd.
Anyway, the Mauraders themselves were cool, even though they kind of looked like knockoff versions of Scorpion in some ways. The use of darkness though was a nice touch.
The real twist though came in that Talbot used the Rebirth machine to get the full infusion of Gravitronium, which has now fully made him Gravitron. It was a great twist, yet fit with what was going on with Talbot. I look forward to seeing him go full villain next week.
Meanwhile, Daisy found a way to possibly save Coulson, and all it took was getting the Centipede formula from Season 01 and digging up her mother’s dead body.
Oh, and Deek is trying to keep himself alive by keeping Fitz-Simmons alive. How noble.
In the end, “Option Two” brought an interesting twist and some tense moments, but things will need to turn up soon in order for the season to end on a good note.
