Two new images of Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who arrive as we get an air date for new series

Some new Doctor Who news and images for you tonight, guys…

Doctor Who Magazine has debuted two new images (above and below) of Jodi Whittaker’s new Doctor – the first time the Time Lord (Lady?) has regenerated into a female – and we also know when we can (roughly) expect her to appear in her first full series (she already appeared in the 2017 Christmas Special, Twice Upon A Time).

As we suspected, it looks like the TARDIS and its pilot will return in Fall – that’s Autumn to us in the UK – so that’s after September, then.

“…the good news is that we do know approximately when Jodie’s first series of Doctor Who will air, but the bad news is that it’s not until Autumn 2018.

“Series 11 will, however, kick off with a generous hour-long episode before settling into nine more instalments of 50 minutes each, still slightly longer than what we’ve been used to in recent years.”

We figured it for a late August return, so that means the series will run neatly until Christmas 2018 and the Christmas Special… which we’re assuming is still part of the line-up.
