It’s official, Ewan McGregor is back as Obi-Wan Kenobi and is filming the Disney+ series as I type.
I a new interview on the Jimmy Kimmel Show (below), McGregor talked about returning to the role after Revenge of the Sith, 18 years ago.
The star cryptically said he got to film a very special scene on May 4th with “someone very special in my life,” but he said that it’s not someone he’s been on-screen with before and, when asked if the person was related to him, he replied: “No. Not necessarily.”
I can’t even fathom what that means.
As for the costume, he says it’s different and might not be “what you expect“.
So, expect Obi-Wan to be wearing something different than we expect or have seen during his (and Alec Guinness’) time playing the role before.
What do you make of the news? Who do you think he filmed a scene with? I can’t help feeling that he filmed a scene with a CGI Alec Guinness… I have no reason for saying this, I just have a hunch.
