Last night I wrote and article on here about how a potential Smallville cartoon series could happen, picking up after the tenth season of the hit TV series (here).
And it got me thinking about the 2012 Smallville comic book series, called Season 11, which DC comics put after the series ended (here).
The series put Clark Kent – Tom Welling – in the suit (which we never saw in the series) and had him explore the wider DC universe as it existed in the Smallville universe, heck, it even had Batman (here), something Warner Bros had said the TV series couldn’t do.
Now, I must say, I’m sad that I never actually got to read the Smallville comic series (and they sell for a fortune now), but Youtuber Comicstorian has put the whole of Season 11 out as a comic-video. So, basically, you can watch the whole series over a five-hour video.
Now, look, I know that’s quite a long haul but, if you break it down into chapters, this would be a great way to catch up with what happened before Clark and Lois (Erica Durance) appeared on Crisis on Infinite Earths, The CW’s big Arrowverse event from 2019/2020.
Plus, as far as I can make out, the comic series IS canon, so if the animated does happen, these events will be part of the wider story.
Long story short, enjoy.
