WATCH: The Bad Batch’s third and final season gets new trailer, poster and release date!

Yes! She’s back!

The new trailer for the third and final season of The Bad Batch is here and it features a very surprising returning character.

Firstly, I can’t wait for this series to return as it’s just so much fun and is doing a great job of paving the way to the sequel trilogy and the return of Emperor Palpatine, secondly, it’s Star Wars and despite what some will tell you, the saga is alive and well and a lot of fans love every new story.

However, as cool as this trailer is, there’s a cameo at the end that has the fandom at odds with itself – I know, you’re shocked – and that’s the return of Asajj Ventress.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s Facebook, TwitterInstagramYoutube, Bluesky,
TruthTumblrThreads & Mastodon!

Ventress, once the Sith apprentice of Count Dooku, had a storied time during Clone Wars where she went from villain to bounty hunter and, finally, anti-hero, before dying in the canon story Dark Disciple but, while many are annoyed at the retconning of her death – it’s a cracking story, you really should track down a copy – we’re assured that the events of the book are not being undone (here)… let’s not forget that Ventress is a Dathomir Witch and they have a long history in Star Wars of resurrecting the dead or surviving death and possessing the living, so her return isn’t really that out of the question in this universe. It’s whether or not she will save the day, is the big question

Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023: The Bad Batch gets a third – and final – season

Anyways, check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts, gang.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War.

Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

The Bad Batch return to save more than just the day on February 21st, with a three-episode premiere.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
