WATCH: Trailer drops for final four episodes of Clone Wars, The Siege of Mandalore

April 15th, 2020 by Marc Comments

And here we are… the official end to The Clone Wars animated series. And it has come to this.

With the final series so far having in the second half focused on Ahsoka Tano and what happened after she left the Jedi Order, it seems that the final four episodes (can you believe we’ve had eight so far?!) are going to focus, not just on Ahsoka, but on the siege of Mandalore… and how Darth Maul rises to be a galaxy-level mob boss.

Fans may recall that in The Mandalorian season 1 we saw in flashbacks the seige of the planet, but now the Clone Wars is going to wrap with the final four episodes chronicling the events.

This is a big event in the Star Wars story and despite the final season – sorry – being pretty hundrum so far, this is going to be big.

Anyway, keep scrolling to see Ahsoka reunited with her former master Anakin Skywalker and and how she gets her own Clone battalion, reuniting with Captain Rex in the trailer and a batch of new images.

I can’t wait! Can you?

Ahsoka Tano reaches out to Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi seeking assistance to secure the capture of longtime adversary and former Sith Lord Maul, but the news of Grievous’ attack on Coruscant and Palpatine’s capture forces a difficult decision for the Jedi in “Old Friends Not Forgotten,” an all-new episode of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” this FRIDAY, April 17th on Disney+.

And here’s the images:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
