Well…this is interesting.
It’s been rumored for awhile, but now we can definitively say that there IS an X-Men TV Series in the works at Fox. Now, when we say “in the works”, we literally mean it’s being talked about. Nothing is official at any level yet.
Why? Because in this rare case, any TV show based on the X-Men will need approval from Marvel themselves. Unlike the movies who’s rights are owned by Fox. Check out this statement from the chairman of Fox:
“It’s in negotiations,” Fox entertainment chairmen Gary Newman said. “We’re cautiously optimistic, we had a good meeting with them. That will not be on a fast track creatively. This is just the deal, now we have to find the creative.”
