I’ve been pursuing this story relentlessly (Like a pirate chasing down a merchant ship) and today I can finally say, Ubisoft has confirmed that the next game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will indeed be called Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. This latest news comes in the form of the game’s first official art, pictured above.
Today’s announcement confirms the title initially revealed by leaked marketing material this week and also expands upon Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot’s comments earlier this month that the newest Assassin’s Creed game features a new hero and time period.
They are no hard details yet. But it’s obvious that the game will involve pirates, just as I told you weeks ago.
The official announcement will be on Monday March 4th.
