Continuing to be one of the best sources for Doctor Who fans to enjoy the show they love, Doctor Who Legacy is preparing to launch a new special for the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special, along with giving details on a fun new sidequest that fans can do to get special Doctor Who memorabilia, that they can’t get anywhere else! Here’s what’s coming:
“We have some exciting plans this week and in the near future for the game and wanted to fill you in!
This week sees the addition of quite a few rewards for those who unlock the Fan Area in the game — the Fan Area is a special reward area that unlocks as soon as players make their first purchase of a Handful of Time Crystals. We count on those purchases as they are what has allowed us to grow the game from 20 hours to well over 100 hours of game play since we launched two years ago!
The Fan Area will be the home to the Signature Series which launched yesterday. Each day players will unlock an exclusive version of an ally which includes the actor’s real signature, which we have collected in person from many of the actors in the series! This ally series will be ongoing–as we continue to collect signatures–but begins this week with Saibra (Pippa Bennett-Warner), Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker), Jo Grant (Katy Manning), Van Gogh (Tony Curran), Ace (Sophie Aldred), and Rigsy (Joivan Wade).
Christmas Eve for the Fan Area will add the Twelfth Doctor’s fan favorite velvet jacket to his ever-growing wardrobe.
Christmas weekend we will launch a new level based on “The Husbands of River Song” for all players with the reward of a new ally. In January, players can expect a first ever “Director’s Cut” edition of the same episode with costumes galore!”
