Bethesda has launched their E3 campaign weeks ahead of the actual event, to highlight their E3 showcase on June 14th.
The teaser trailer for the new DOOM game though only seconds long is worrisome for people like me who consider DOOM3 to be one of the greatest shooters of all time. The teaser seems to imply it will be a more frantic run and gun style shooter, reminiscent of the original release as opposed to a follow on to the creeping horror of DOOM3.
To put another way I’m think I’ll be asking “What the hell is that?” in an amused tone as opposed to nearly hopping out of my skin yelling “What the hell was that!”
That said this worry alone has made the Bethesda showcase the most interesting thing on the line up in the absence of anything of note from the other exhibitors.
