Following the Gamer #1.2

September 11th, 2013 by Mad Dave Comments

Join Al the Bald Gamer Dude and Stu from The Monday Movie Show as they discuss the big gaming news this month.

We just had Gamescom and Pax Prime so there is a plateau of gaming news that has filtered down that has to be discussed; the most important being the release date for the Xbox One  which puts people who are buying a console on day one in a very strange situation and adds plenty of pressure on parents for the jolly season.

There was the announcement of the Nintendo 2DS and Stu and Al speak about the merits of this handheld console and its point in the market, the confusion it could cause and the possible greed of Nintendo.

They discuss the new consoles and whether they will be buying one at launch, the launch line up and what they are expecting in the next few months, plus the latest games are discussed, including Saints Row IV, TMNT and Rayman Legends.

There is more news in here than you can shake a stick at and the guys try their best to tell you everything they can about the month of August.

I'm Mad Dave one of the team's growing collection of tabletop gaming nerds. I was raised on a healthy diet of TV like Blake 7, Doctor Who and Star Trek with a side of sword and sorcery / sc-fi movies and a large dollop of board games like Cluedo, RISK and Hero Quest. You know your a gaming nerd if: You bring toy soldiers to work? You bring toy soldiers to work and you work has nothing to do with toy soldiers? Most of you jackets / coats have dice in one of the pockets? You hate throwing away packaging because you know it's actually a ruined building or field generator? You have a collection of old packaging? You can find something relevant to your hobby i.e. books, magazines, figures etc in almost every room in your house? I no I'm a nerd because I've done all of the above, how many of these made you smile and nod yes to?
