It seems the biggest spoilers these days are coming from electronics consumer websites. In the tradition of posting something for pre-order way before it’s even been announced, it looks like German electronics retail site Saturn have spilled the beans on a forthcoming Star Wars themed Disney Infinity starter pack. The site, which has since pulled the item, posted a pre order for the pack across all gaming platforms, with a release date of August 20th 2015!

The story was originally posted by a Disney fans news group, who were then asked to pull the story by Disney Interactive. Which means there is probably something to the story. The starter pack was shown to come with two interactive figures, Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker and is marked as Disney Infinity 3.

Interestingly enough, they seem to be styled after the Clone Wars animated series, which was one of the first casualties of Disney’s buyout of LucasFilm. You would think that Disney would focus on Star Wars Rebels themes, or the movie characters at least. Sure, Ahsoka is part of Rebels, but standing next to Anakin one can only think of the Clone Wars. Either way though, the set and box art look pretty freaking cool.

One does wonder if Saturn may have spoiled a big announcement that would’ve been around the corner with May the Fourth upon us. Hopefully, in the light of the spoil and with Star Wars Day rapidly approaching, an official announcement will be made sooner rather than later.

Stay tuned to FTN for more on Star Wars Disney Infinity as the story breaks.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
