Feel-Good Movies To Make You Happy

December 4th, 2022 by Clark Kent Comments

Films do a good job of lifting spirits. In fact, many movie viewers watch films just to enhance their mood. Some viewers derive their pleasure from romance dramas, comedies, thrillers or suspense-filled films that make them feel good.

Most sensational movies tend to have more fans and increased replay value. That is why we have compiled some of the best feel-good movies to make you happy and remind you of the good old times.

Came a Hot Friday (1985)

This 1949 comic story features horseracing, gambling, fast cars, and loose women. After its 1985 premiere, the movie was widely hailed as New Zealand’s most joyful cinematic venture. Wes and his accomplice Cyril are con artists in the film who rip off local bookies. When they arrive in Tainui, they enlist the services of a naive native named Don and immediately get to work.

Their financial success is more a product of chance than of sound decision-making. However, unlike Wes who relied totally on chance, things are made easier for New Zealanders as they can take advantage of reviews before playing. These reviews give a rundown of specific casinos, from the renowned ones like LeoVegas to new casinos in the gambling market. The platform also provides expert knowledge on the best no deposit casinos and most profitable pokies and table games.

As the movie goes on, the evil Sel Bishop refuses to pay Wes after he wins a big sum of money at the casino he runs. Wes and the gang eventually team up with the odd ‘Mexican’ bandit, the Tainui Kid, to get their just rewards.

Coming to America (1988)

It remains one of the finest films ever produced. The film’s synopsis essentially celebrates a drive to rebel against the rules of conventional rites that young people in many other societies face. As depicted in the film, Prince Akeem Joffer is the prince of a prosperous African nation. He has everything he needs except a wife who will love him for who he is, rather than his position.

Akeem runs away to the United States with his picky sidekick Semmi to avoid an arranged marriage and find a wife. He pretends to be an international student working at a fast-food restaurant to woo Lisa. In the plot, he has a hard time telling Lisa the truth about who he is.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001)

All over the world, people of all ages love the Harry Potter movies. It’s a high-octane action thriller, overflowing with suspense and drama. If you’re a fan of the series, you should also check out new Harry Potter movies in the works.

The movie is based on the novel from J.K. Rowling. In its plot, Harry, 11, is an orphan and learns that his parents were wizards, and enrolls at Hogwarts to study magic. There, he meets Ron and Hermione, who become two of his closest friends and travel companions. In the climactic moments of each film, Harry faces off against his archenemy, the dark wizard Lord Voldemort.

Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

Within the last 25 years, no major Hollywood production has included an Asian-only cast like this one. Crazy Rich Asians explored the lives of Singapore’s upper class. It highlights the lavish lifestyles of its wealthy citizens while also including a strong, feisty female protagonist.

In the movie, Nick’s best friend is getting married in Singapore, and he invites his girlfriend Rachel Chu to go. She finds out that Nick comes from a very wealthy family and that she will have to deal with his icy relatives and in-laws. Despite its focus on romance, Crazy Rich Asians is a story about resilient female characters.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)

When it comes to old movies, this one truly deserves to be considered a classic. The Wizard of Oz is still the spookiest, creepiest, kookiest, and most unsettling Hollywood movie ever filmed. Judy Garland plays the role of Dorothy Gale in the film.

After a tornado destroys her Kansas farm, Dorothy is taken to an enchanted country. This causes her to embark on a journey to the Emerald City in search of a way to return home.

Usually very busy as, em, professional cos-player but also enjoy putting fingers to buttons from time to time.
