Geeky feast in the Middle East!

There’s a host of big names at the Middle East Film and Comic Con taking place in Dubai next week.

Nick Frost is the latest star to join the guest line-up at the three day event from April 7-9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Christopher Lloyd, Veronica Taylor and co-creator of Deadpool Fabien Niceza are already confirmed with celebrity guests Randy Orton, Summer Glau, and international cosplayers Alodia Gosiengfiao, Madeline Rose, Aranel and Ivy Doomkitty!

An Italian born artist with a passion for Japanese art and its culture, as well as street art and graffiti, Simone Legno, the co-founder and creative director of the tokidoki brand, which means sometimes in Japanese, will be sharing his craft with likeminded fans at MEFCC 2016.

Legno’s most popular work comprises of quirky and energetic characters that thousands have come to love over the years, such as Moofia, Cocomando, Wild Boys, Til Death Do Us Part and of course Cactus Friends.

Simone has become a sought-after speaker around the globe at museums, universities and conferences, from MOCA (the Geffen Museum-Los Angeles) to the Adobe MAX conference, UCLA, USC, the Flash Film Festival in San Francisco, Art Center College of Design, Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome, Singapore Toy and Comic Convention, Grafika Manila and many others.

American comic book writer and hugely talented artist, Kevin Eastman, will also be attending MEFCC 2016!

Best known for the creation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Peter Laird as well as being the publisher of Heavy Metal magazine, Eastman will be greeting fellow comic lovers and making the event even more exciting this year.

Renowned for his creative genius and contribution in comic book writing for titles such as The Punisher, X-Factor, Uncanny X-Men, Iron Man and Wetworks, the American comic book writer Whilce Portacio will also be making an appearance. Portacio has also contributed pencils to Hulk, Batman Confidential, Daredevil, and X-Force. Whilce was also a co-founder of

Image Comics, an American comic book publisher founded in 1992 by high-profile illustrators where creators could publish their material without giving up the copyrights to the characters they created, as creator-owned properties.

Max Landis is best known for writing the films Chronicle, American Ultra and Victor Frankenstein, a film adaptation of Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein, as well as a variety of short films including The Death and Return of Superman, released in 2012 featuring the performances of Morgan Krantz as Superman, Elden Henson as Doomsday, Elijah Wood as Hank

Henshaw and Mandy Moore as Lois Lane.

Randy Orton, arguably one of the biggest names in the WWE because of his impeccable track record and reputation as the World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion and World Tag Team Champion along with his infamous R.K.O signature move, is coming to Comic Con!

Born a WWE Superstar, Randy will be meeting and greeting his fans making this year’s Con one to remember.

Summer Glau is best known for the powerful female characters that she plays including River Tam from Firefly/Serenity, Cameron from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Tess Doerner from The 4400 as well as Isabel Rochev from The Arrow.

Apart from being a highly talented actress, Summer is a professional kick boxer and also trained in Kung Fu as well as Ballet dancing making her a true performer when it comes to action on and off the screen!

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars.
