It was last week that we first heard that DC Entertainment was developing a TV series based on Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl. The initial reports said that producer Michael Green was involved, but it was later revealed that Greg Berlanti of Arrow and The Flash would be teaming up with Chuck producer Ali Adler for the show.
Now it is confirmed by Berlani himself. Speaking with CBR, he reveals that work has indeed begun on a Supergirl series, but says earlier claims that they’ve already begun pitching to networks were premature:
“We’re just starting to work on it. We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so. I’ll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment.”
