Is Benicio del Toro playing Boba Fett’s son in The Last Jedi?

February 28th, 2017 by Marc Comments

Treat this story as extremely unlikely, but a rumour has surfaced online suggesting that Benicio del Toro will be playing Boba Fett’s son in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Whilst we know that the actor will definitely have a role in the forthcoming Rian Johnson flick, there’s been no official confirmation about the character he’ll play.

This new rumour, first reported by Screen Rant, was later elaborated on by YouTuber Mike Zeroh. According to Zeroh, Wikiwand’s page for del Toro included the listing for his role in The Last Jedi as ‘Sir Vicrum Fett’, which was then changed, days later, to ‘TBA’.

Remember however that Wikiwand is just a modern interface for Wikipedia so file this one firmly under rumour (or in my case ‘nuts!’). I suppose we’ll find out soon enough as The Last Jedi hit’s cinema screens in under 10 months. Don’t be placing any bets on this one though!
