Rumours about Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa’s involvement in the planned Batman v Superman film as a possible candidate for Aquaman began as early as last year. Despite constant denying on the part of Momoa, those rumours again resurfaced recently.
It seems now more sources are saying it’s true.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Momoa is indeed going to play the role of the Atlantean king in the Zack Snyder directed, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The actor has been sworn to secrecy and we are just awaiting confirmation from Warner Bros.
The aforementioned rumours suggest Momoa’s role will be a cameo and will set the character of Aquaman up as a major player in the planned Justice League film also by Snyder. What will the cameo consist of you might be wondering? Perhaps the King of the Seas is a little unhappy with Superman after the World Engine’s destruction of earth’s environment in Man of Steel.
