June 26th, 2014 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

Entertainment Weekly has debuted the cover for their latest issue featuring Mad Max: Fury Road‘s  Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. Hardy plays damaged road warrior Max Rockatansky originally played by Mel Gibson, and Theron plays a commander named Imperator Furiosa. In addition EW has released seven new stills that you can check out below.

Series creator George Miller told the EW about the upcoming film:

“I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes. In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed.”

Mad Max: Fury Road is directed by George Miller, who has directed every Mad Max film, from a screenplay by himself, Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris.

In addition to Hardy and Theron the cast also includes Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (Mad Max, Sleeping Beauty) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (Conan the Barbarian) as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoë Kravitz (X-Men: First Class) plays Toast; Riley Keough (Magic Mike) is Capable, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) is Splendid. They are joined by supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw as The Dag and Courtney Eaton as Fragile, both of whom are making their big screen debuts. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.

Mad Max: Fury Road will open in 2D and 3D theaters on May 15th, 2015.
