Following a rumor that was making the rounds last month, Marvel has confirmed today that Captain America 3 will officially release in theaters on May 6th, 2016 where it will face off against Warner Bros.’ Batman vs Superman.

Winter Soldier directors Anthony and Joe Russo are set to return to helm the third film along with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have penned both previous Captain America films.
Before Captain America 3, Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st 2015.
