On the red carpet at the U.K. premiere of Guardians Of The Galaxy, HeyUGuys asked Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon if there would be an increase in female roles in the Avengers sequel. Whedon responded that his film will feature four prominent parts for women at the film’s center. But of course didn’t give any more specifics.
The movie stars Black Widow and Scarlet Witch, so they’re obvious. Maria Hill is in the film, so that makes three, but who’s the fourth?
Well MTV’s Kevin P. Sullivan asked Hayley Atwell about her Age of Ultron role at SDCC, which we all assumed would be as the old Peggy Carter given Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But it seems we were wrong:
So it appears she will star in the film in her younger self, which means that she will probably be the fourth character Whedon was talking about. There are rumors of Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel making a cameo, but I don’t see that as a prominent role.
