Aquaman poster splashes in along with a stunning still from the movie!

So we now know that Aquaman trailer is DEFINITELY coming this weekend at SDCC and we are so excited.

Why?

Well, firstly, we got the awesome new teaser poster (above) which has Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry AKA Aquaman looking all menacing and cool and sexy with sharks, turtles, whales and all sorts of underwater awesomeness.

Secondly, and maybe ever cooler, in anticipation for the trailer, director James Wan shared this awesome image on Twitter:

We’re assuming that’s Patrick Wilson as Orm, but we’re not totally sure.

What we are sure of is that from the images we’ve seen in the last few days (check these out), this movie has a real chance to be one of the best looking movies ever filmed.

Tell us you’re not excited…

Directed by James Wan (“The Conjuring” films, “Furious 7”) and starring Jason Momoa in the title role, AQUAMAN also stars Amber Heard (“Justice League,” “Magic Mike XXL”) as Mera; Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (“Platoon,” “Spider-Man 2”) as Vulko; Temuera Morrison (“Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones,” “Green Lantern”) as Tom Curry; Dolph Lundgren (“The Expendables” films) as Nereus; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (upcoming “Baywatch,” Netflix’s “The Get Down”) as Black Manta; with Patrick Wilson (“The Conjuring” films, “Watchmen”) as Orm/Ocean Master; and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman (“The Hours,” “Lion”) as Atlanna.

AQUAMAN will release in UK cinemas on December 14

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
