Avengers Vs X-Men movie in the works at Disney?

March 8th, 2019 by Marc Comments

There’s a lot of speculation about how the X-Men will be incorporated into the MCU now that the Disney/Fox merger is almost complete and now we have the most interesting yet…

According to a new report, an Avengers vs X-Men movie is on the cards and will serve as a hard entry into the MCU for everyone’s favourite mutants.

Word is the movie is “on the cards” and that as soon as the merger goes through, the scenario will begin being worked on… this likely means that we’ll start seeing the X-Men in one incarnation or another appearing in the MCU – possibly in standalone movies – before the big two go head to head.

However, with Endgame just around the corner and Captain Marvel released tomorrow and the original Avengers likely stepping down after these two movies, it would make sense that a new team will start becoming the face of the MCU so spreading it between the X-Men and the new Avengers would seem likely.

It’s hard not to let the inner fanboy get a bit excited at the idea of Marvel’s bit two meeting on the big screen and going head-to-head, but let’s keep this as a rumour for now.

Fingers crossed.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
