BIG SPOILER POTENTIAL: Is this Batman’s secret weapon against Superman in Dawn of Justice?

June 3rd, 2015 by Marc Comments

Ok, as the headline said guys, there’s potentially big, big spoilers for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice here.

You have been warned.

Abandon hope all ye who enter…

Ok, then…

According to Umberto Gonzalez’s new site Heroic Hollywood, Batman has a secret weapon that will allow him to stand toe-to-toe with Superman in the upcoming superhero smack down.

And it’s in the image above. Remember it from the trailer?

Well, apparently that’s where Superman killed  Zod at the end of Man of Steel – we can see that, fair enough – and the thing that Batman is holding is a spear that has been laced/dipped in Kryptonite.

Now, the site does not say how exactly Batman got the spear/weapon, but it makes sense that, in order to stop your enemy, you visit where he was last almost stopped… and perhaps Zod has left something useful behind? Who knows…

But we still say that’s a very Riddler-esque question mark sprayed on that pillar. Sorry, side note.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Zack Snyder is directing.

The cast includes Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman in the film, Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons is Alfred Pennyworth and Ray Fisher is Victor Stone/Cyborg. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel. Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto and Scoot McNairy have unknown roles. Jason Momoa is all but confirmed as Aquaman and rumored to appear.

It is scheduled to hit theaters in the US on March 25th, 2016.
