Chris Evans wants Captain America to pop us in Spider-man: Homecoming or maybe Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

It’s official, we’re now in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That means the gloves are off, and where we go from here is anyone’s guess. That includes Chris Evans, who has talked about his future with Marvel, as he talks about the chances of Captain America in Spider-Man: Homecoming or even Guardians of the Galaxy 2, writes our guy Phil over at Squareeyed.

While talking to MTV, Evans opened up about Phase 3 and where he could see his character popping up in the future.

It seems that Evans is excited about the idea, saying “Guardians would be fun, wouldn’t it?” Yes, yes it would be. He continues, “I mean, but that’s very outer spacey. Cap’s more of an earthbound guy. Maybe the next Spider-Man. You know those are going to be fantastic and I think Tom’s such a great actor so that might be a fun one to pop up in.”

If a Homecoming appearance does happen, we could see Steve Rogers butting heads with Tony Stark again, after all he has already been confirmed for the movie.

It seems only fair that Tom Holland’s take on wall crawler Peter Parker returns the favour to Cap, after arriving into the MCU in a big way in Civil War. We could see a small cameo making sense, especially if Rogers is still rogue after the fallout of his last film.

Like Evans says, an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is probably a little more far fetched, because unless Star Lord and the Guardians come to earth we can’t really see Cap getting up into the stars.

Speaking on how he feels he has grown into playing Cap, Evans says “I’ve really found a level of comfort with the character, over the course of, what is it now, seven movies? I can’t even keep track, but we’ve been doing it since 2010. It really does feel like home. It just feels very comfortable to me, so any way they want to use me in any other type of cameo, it’s fun to be a part of this chapter of cinema. Marvel is doing something that no one else is doing, this crossing over of characters in films, so if they want to utilize that in any capacity, I’m willing.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into cinemas on the 7th July 2017.
