Chris Pratt’s Cowboy Ninja Viking closes in on directors

January 29th, 2015 by Marc Comments

Chris Pratt confirmed that he was in for the lead in the Cowboy Ninja Viking movie a while ago (here).

Based on AJ Lieberman and Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel (pic above), about a man with multiple-personality disorder who becomes a super-soldier who is a cowboy, a ninja and a viking. Yeah, mad.

Now John Wick’s David Leitch and Chad Stahelski are in talks to co-direct the movie.

Stahelski and Leitch have been second unit directors for years and now that their Keanu Reeves movie, John Wick, has been a big of a box-office shock, it has put them on the radar of several production companies.

Pratt is about to star on The Magnificent Seven and then Guardians of the Galaxy and the rumoured Indiana Jones movie, so when this will happen isn’t exactly clear. But the sooner, the better we say.

File this in the ‘coming soon’ file…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
