Fede Alvarez bringing us a sequel to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre

October 7th, 2019 by Geralt of Australia Comments

There are a few things better than all the candy and cosplays during October, however one of the things that beats them all is a good scary movie.

We’ve had a few good ones over the years but when it comes to a good scare you just can’t beat the originals like Texas Chainsaw.

And it seems like we’re getting another one in the series as Evil Dead’s Fede Alvarez is all set to produce a new one.

As is the current rend, the movie is set to be a sequel to the 1974 slasher classic that gave birth to so many others in the genre, ignoring all the sequels and remakes that came after.

Alvarez is currently looking for a filmmaker to come in a helm the project.

There’s but one small issue with continuity for the story and that’s that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s leading lady Marilyn Burns unfortunately passed away back in 2014, so do they find someone who looks an awful lot like her to continue like nothing’s changed, or do we move forward a little and continue with what we know of the Sawyer family?

If this is anything like the original then I’m sure we can expect lots of gore, suspense, and things that you’ve only ever seen in your nightmares.

Stay tuned for more details, casting and news and as always people, stay nerdy.
