Well, we reported some time ago (here) that Charlize Theron, fresh from her mindblowingly great performance in Mad Max: Fury Road, was set to be the big bad in Fast 8….

And here she is.

Man, she looks so badass in that Metallica tee-shirt, standing beside a wall full of heavy weapons.

And we totally believe she’s going to give Vin Diesel and the team a hard time.
The character and actress were welcomed on the official Fast and Furious Facebook page: “Our crew has faced former military, mercenaries and more. But they’ve never come across anyone like Cipher. Charlize Theron stars as their biggest threat yet. April 2017 ‪#‎F8‬ ‪#‎FastFridays‬”

Not much is known about her for now but we know her character is called Cipher.

We think that, along with the image, is enough of a tease… for now. We still have 11 months to wait.

Fast 8 will also star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson.

Fast 8 screeches into cinemas on April 14, 2017.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
