So, when I first heard about the new Ghostbusters movie and the possible inclusion of kids, I said that I hoped it would be like if the kids from Stranger Things or IT went to get the Ghostbusters rather than jumping in themselves.
And it looks like I was on the money as we have our first potential casting news for the new movie.
It and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard and Avengers: Infinity War star Carrie Coon are in talks to jump into our most anticipated movie of the next squillion years.
But who re they playing in Jason Reitman’s upcoming movie? Well…
“Sources say the story will focus on a single mom and her family, with Coon playing the mom and Wolfhard playing her son. It’s currently unknown how that will connect to the new Ghostbusters team.”
We also hear the mum and family will have ‘mysterious ties back to the original 1984 movie’. Hmmmmmmm….
A lot of speculation is floating around already the these characters will be related to Egon, or Ray, but honestly, I reckon they’ll be new characters who the team will have to help as something nasty and supernatural comes out of the woodwork.
