We reported a few weeks ago that Back To The Future director Robert Zemeckis was in talks to direct The Flash movie (here) and now it looks like not only is he definitely in the running but he’s in really good company.
It seems there are three directors in the running for the gig now and oh, my but they are great choices one and all.
First up is Zemeckis, a legendary director also helmed movies such as Forrest Gump and What Lies Beneath.
Next up we have Matthew Vaughn, the man behind the Kingsmen movies as well as (my personal favourite in the franchise) X-Men: First Class.
And finally is Evil Dead and Spider-man director Sam Raimi.
How’s that for three great names? We say whichever one gets the gig, give the other two other movies too in the DC Universe.
Flash has had a difficult time securing a director, having already lost Dope director Rick Famuyiwa and then Seth Grahame-Smith.
Out of the three above it seems that Zemeckis is the favourite (given his Back To The Future trilogy we reckon he’s definitely the man for the job too) however he is currently prepping a Steve Carell movie with Universal, however word is the Warners would wait for him should he want the gig.
If this is true then The Flash movie is still quite a while away.
But we reckon it would be worth the wait…
