So, to add a lot of fuel to the ‘does the #SnyderCut of Justice League actually exist?’ debate, director Zack Snyder has just thrown down a pretty big gauntlet to the naysayers.
The history of Justice League is complex, but in a nutshell, Zack Snyder left the production shortly after his daughter died, leaving director Joss Whedon to come in and rewrite and direct a large portion of the movie.
Now, wether you believe Snyder left voluntarily or was, em, pushed, there’s no doubt that the movie we got is by no means the movie it was meant to be (we have an ever-growing list of things that make us believe the Snyder Cut does indeed exist here).
The movie itself has become something of a cinematic enigma over the two short years since it was released and has also started a massive online movement to get it released – look for #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on Twitter if you’re not sure how big a movement it really is.
But now Snyder himself, who has always been supportive of the movement (it’s all in the link above), has pretty much confirmed he has a movie in his possession – and at a whopping 90 minutes longer than what we got, it’s one the fans would kill to see:
Does this mean anything more than we already know? Hard to say, but it’ll certainly help spur the fans on… and I support that whole-heartedly!
