Jackman hints at Wolverine Vs Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past

September 23rd, 2013 by Marc Comments

Sorry guys, we were bit slow on this one on Friday, but thought you might like t hear it anyway…

It seems that Hugh Jackman, all of a flutter over X-Men: Days Of Future Past, has been getting chatty about the movie and especially one face-off that might get the fans all in a tizzy too, yes, he’ll have a throwdown with Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. Talking to The Daily Beast, Jackman said: “It’s fair to say we don’t get on that well. I get sent back to the past and he has no idea who I am, but you can imagine Wolverine has a bit of fun with that.”

He also said that this is not simply Fox trying to get in on the action after Disney conquered the planet with Avengers:  “I think some people are saying, ‘Ah, this just sounds like an excuse to get all these actors together and make an Avengers-style movie,’ but the truth is that it’s a great script and (director) Bryan (Singer) is very ambitious to make the best movie of them all.

“He’s got the biggest cast, the biggest budget, and he started it all, so it’s his legacy. He’s a fan of time-travel movies, and the detail that’s gone into it is incredible. I’m quietly confident that it will be the biggest and the best of them all.

“When I sat there on that panel at Comic Con, and looked down at all the actors, you think, ‘This might be one of the best ensembles ever assembled’… Apart from Movie 43.”

So what do you all think? Are we excited about Days Of Future Past? Let us know in the usual ways…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
