Jeffrey Dean Morgan teases DC Role… Flashpoint Batman surely? Is this a part of the bigger picture?

So a lot of pieces may be falling into place in the Flashpoint movie development as little pieces may be adding up to a bigger picture over the last few days.

Firstly, speaking at The Walking Dead’s Walker Stalker Con in New Jersey, Negan himself, Jeffrey Dean Morgan once again teased what we expect in a major role in the Flashpoint movie.

Morgan, who played Bruce Wayne’s father, Thomas, at the beginning of Batman V Superman, has been tipped to play Batman in the Flashpoint movie given that the comic story sees young Bruce dying in Crime Alley and his father becoming Batman instead.

He’s not been shy about fuelling the rumour himself and at the Con he said when asked about his future roles: “There’s a role in the DC Universe I’ve got my eye on.”

Now add to this this news that Flash himself, Ezra Miller has once again said the movie would begin filming soon:

In a recent interview, Miller said: “[Flashpoint is] coming up. We are getting ready. It’s been a long process to make sure we’ll get it right, but Warner Bros. is being very careful with it and that’s something I feel really honored by and it’s something I appreciate. But I’m stoked to get going. I can’t reveal specifics, but it is coming up really soon.”

And with the recent news that it really does look like Ben Affleck is done with the role after Flashpoint (here), we’re guessing that we are set for BIG changes in the DC Cinematic Universe which will begin with Morgan playing the alternate reality Batman…

What say you all?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
