John Wick director bring Image Comics’ Analog to the big screen

May 25th, 2018 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

The man who directed Keanu Reeves in John Wick, Chad Stahelski, and Ryan Condal, who created Colony, are teaming up to direct Image Comics’ Analog – created by Gerry Duggan (Writer) and David O’Sullivan (artist) with Lionsgate winning a bidding war to distribute.

Condal will write the script and Stahlski will direct.  87eleven, run by Stahelski and David Leithch, will produce and Duggan will share a “story by” credit.

The first issue of the comic was released in April.

Analog is set in the near future where security on the internet has been made useless thanks to the “Great Doxxing” and people then turn to the Ledger Men, agents who carry sensitive secrets in a brief-case handcuffed to one arm and with a gun in the other.

Condal worked on the script for Rampage, the recent Dwayne Johnson monster movie. He co-created Colony with Carlton Cuse, and the USA show began its third season earlier this month. The writer is currently developing a Conan the Barbarian series for Amazon.

Stahelski, a stuntman turned second unit director, made his helming debut with partner David Leitch on 2014’s John Wick. He is currently shooting John Wick: Chapter 3. Stahelski and Condal first worked together developing a remake of Highlander for Lionsgate.
