Kevin Feige confirms Spider-man MCU appearances after Homecoming and that Sony’s Spidey villain movies aren’t MCU related

April 18th, 2017 by Marc Comments

In a recent chat Marvel head Kevin Feige has spilled the beans on some of the big Marvel news for the next while and going to break it all down over the next couple of posts but let’s start with ol’ wed-head .

With the news recently that Sony was moving ahead with Venom and also Silver Sable/Black Cat movies despite Spider-man being in the MCU many speculated that it probably meant that these movies would not be part of the MCU… and it looks like they were right.

Feige said of the upcoming Venom and Silver Sable/Black Cat movies: “We had a very particular plan about Spidey himself.”

He made it clear that they weren’t involved in any part of the Spider-man universe beyond Spidey himself, but that confirmed that Spider-man will be in Avengers 3 and 4 as well as Homecoming and Homecoming 2 in 2019: “That’s as far as it goes for now,” he added.

So four more appearances for the wall crawler and no involvement in sony’s Spider-man villains movies? Yeah, that ‘s what we figured.

What do you all think? Let us know…
