Looks like the Men In Black and Jump Street crossover movie is happening at Sony…

March 5th, 2016 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

When Sony studios was hacked back in 2014, one of the most surprising revelations was that the studio was seriously entertaining the possibility of making a 23 Jump Street-Men in Black crossover.

Now, according to a report from Variety (via Squareeyed), the project is moving forward with The Muppets director James Bobin. The project is yet to be officially greenlit.

Bobin will be succeeding Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who directed 21 and 22 Jump Street but are currently tied up in the Han Solo movie with Disney.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will reportedly return to reprise their roles as Jenko and Schmidt, respectively. However, neither Tommy Lee Jones or Will Smith will appear as agents Kay or Jay, which is hugely disappointing.

There has been some social media criticism regarding the project but it looks as though Sony are intending to move ahead with it.

Plot details are unknown at this time.
