Sony want a Men In Black and Jump Street crossover? No, really…

OK, the leaking of Sony documents and emails continue and, just like our Marvel/Sony story earlier (here), this one is interesting…

Did you ever think that the Jump Street movies and the Men In Black movies should crossover? No? Us neither… but it seems that Sony reckon it’s a good idea.

Now, after creating the little bit of art above, I actually can see this working and I can really see Hill and Tatum as Men In Black, but seriously, where did this idea come from?

The Wall Street Journal are reporting that the latest leaks from the ‘Sony Hack’ is reporting that Jump Street and The LEGO Movie’s directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord (Sony seem to want them to handle everything) are penning a Men In Black/Jump Street crossover to be released in 2016/2017 and the plot, as you’d imagine, will have Schmidt and Jenko meeting the alien-busters.

It seems that Sony want Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in the film, but Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are not so sure to return.

Now, we were – no doubt like you – thinking ‘what the hell?!’ at first but you know what, we reckon that if done properly this could be a very fun, if odd, pairing.

If we hear more, so will you all…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
