Looks like we have our first [leaked] look at Michael Keaton’s new Batman suit from The Flash

One of the most exciting things coming to DC movies in the foreseeable future is the return of Michael Keaton as Batman, who will reportedly replace Ben Affleck, at least temporarily, as the main Batman in the DCEU after the events of The Flash movie will tear apart the fabric of the DC universe, pulling various on-screen universes together, with massive repercussions.

In a recent interview about the movie, Keaton had this to say (here): “What’s really interesting is how much more I got [Batman] when I went back and did him. I get this on a whole other level now. I totally respect it. I respect what people are trying to make. I never looked at it like, ‘Oh, this is just a silly thing.’ It was not a silly thing when I did Batman. But it has become a giant thing, culturally. It’s iconic. So I have even more respect for it because what do I know? This is a big deal in the world to people. You’ve got to honor that and be respectful of that. Even I go, ‘Jesus, this is huge.’”

This is all amazing, but one of the big things I’ve been waiting to see is… what will his new suit be like? I’m a big fan of the 1989 and 1992 suits, left, previously worn by Keaton but I knew that, given his age, this new incarnation would need to see an older, wiser, more battle-weary version of Bruce Wayne/Batman and, with that, I’ve been curious to see what his new suit would be and how would it reflect this older Batman?

Well, now we may know as a new leak has appeared online that claims to be of the new suit and, if what we’re hearing it true, it seems it’s legit:

The Flash is set for release on June 2nd 2023

The suit still keeps the classic yellow and black Bat symbol which has long been lost on the onscreen Batman suits since 92’s Batman Returns, so it’s great to have it back. On top of this, the suit has elements of both previous suits but still looks modernised and more flexible than those that went before… though we’re wondering if he can move his head in this new suit or if this is still an issue.

I love the suit and cannot wait to see Keaton wear it in The Flash and Batgirl movies… how much he appears after that, is still up in the air but we’re hearing rumours he’ll be appearing in several over DCEU title in the next couple of years.

The movie will explore the Multiverse of the DC Universe and will also see characters from throughout the DC universe appear, including another Batman in the form of Ben Affleck returning once more with Ezra Miller returning as the Scarlett Speedster.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
