New rumours suggest both Tom Holland’s Spider-man and villain Carnage are set for Venom movie at Sony

January 17th, 2018 by Marc Comments

Remember the whole debacle a while back when Sony’s Amy Pascal said that Sony’s Spider-man related movies were actually connected to the MCU (here) despite rumours to the contrary being that Spider-man is in the MCU but his villains are not?

Well, on the latest Collider Movie Talk show, host Jon Schnepp wouldn’t reveal how he knew, but stated that Tom Hardy would be in the Venom movie [this would make sense given the story details we learned last week (here)].

Now, while we take it with a pinch of salt until we hear more, this is what he said: “Spider-Man is going to be in Venom. For the last couple of months, we’ve been hearing how Sony is keeping it all separated, and Spider-Man is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but every other character that’s in the Spider-Man universe is separate.

“All I’m saying is that Spider-Man—and I’m talking about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man—is going to be in Venom.”

Now, given that we heard before that Spider-man: Homecoming’s Scorpion actor Michael Mando would appear in the Sony movies in the same role (here), we still have our doubts… there’s something. Something I haven’t felt since…

In related news, Tom Hardy, who is playing Eddie Brock AKA Venom in the Sony movie, briefly posted on Instagram an image of Venom and Carnage together, sparking rumours that we will see Carnage in the movie too and, since we know  that at least part of the movie will be based on Planet of the Symbiotes which sees Venom battling a hoard of  Symbiotic creatures, Carnage could fit in there nicely.

So, Spider-man and Carnage possibly set for the Venom movie? What say you all?
