While we had to contend with some disappointing news last week that Star Wars Episode VIII was postponed until Christmas 2017 due to script re-writes, we have just the thing to cheer you up!
Yes, according to a new report by JoBlo.com (via Squareeyed), Darth Vader is set to have a major role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, much more significant and prominent than previously reported.
In a massive scoop, the site reports that we will see a “Stormtrooper clad in all black”, referred to as a Death Trooper.
They go on to describe him as having, “long arms and legs and is very different than a typical protocol droid like C-3PO.”
This confuses us… is he a droid or a Stormtrooper?
Finally, they reveal that Darth Vader is indeed going to be in Rogue One, and that his role will be much larger than previously thought. So, nothing major here then, but this still sounds fantastic, don’t you think? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
This is what their report said: “Addressing those Darth Vader rumors, we can confirm that Darth Vader will be in the film and is expected to have a larger role than originally thought. How big or how involved we can’t say specifically, but expect to see the return of one of Star Wars’ most infamous characters to the big screen.”
How about that then? Aren’t you instantly more excited for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story!? We know we are.
